I'm a retired teacher, relatively new to painting. I took up watercolour painting, in 2012, after attending an art lesson on board a P and O cruise.

I had always been a reasonable draughtsman but had avoided spoiling my efforts by adding colour. I have admired the gentle touch and apparent careless approach of watercolourists for many years. There are so many excellent artists out there.
